The OnePlus 16 release is seemingly getting closer, as the leak intensity has increased lately. We’ve had an official teaser from OnePlus the other day and an extensive report on the specs shortly after that. But now, we have a solid confirmation about the chipset.
A Geekbench 7 listing just popped up on the radar, revealing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, which is hardly a surprise, of course. Given the information we have so far, Qualcomm plans to release two versions of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset – a regular variant and a Pro option.
OnePlus 16 has appeared on Geekbench 7, revealing its key performance details.

Judging by the clock speeds of the two main cores in the Geekbench 7 score sheet, it’s probably safe to assume that the OnePlus 16 will run on the Pro iteration of the SoC. Earlier reports suggest that the Pro is the one said to break the 5.0 GHz barrier.
Other notable bits from the listing are the Adreno 850 GPU, 16GB of RAM and Android 17, but again, those are hardly a surprise given the flagship status of the upcoming device.
