Nothing Ear (a) is a budget-friendly set of wireless earbuds from Nothing, and they bring a lot of the brand’s style and audio features without a big price tag. They stand out right away with Nothing’s transparent design and a lightweight bubble-style case, and there’s a solid Amazon deal on them right now, too.
These earbuds offer up to 45 dB active noise cancelation, along with adaptive modes that are meant to adjust to your surroundings. Audio comes from an 11 mm dynamic driver, and you also get Hi-Res Audio and LDAC support for higher-quality wireless playback. Nothing says the Ear (a) can last up to 9.5 hours on the earbuds alone, or up to 42.5 hours total with the case when ANC is off. There’s also fast charging, with a 10-minute top-up said to deliver up to 10 hours of total playback.
Nothing also includes dual-device connection, which is handy if you switch between a phone and a laptop during the day. Call quality is described as improved over the earlier model, with voice isolation and better wind-noise handling.
As for the deal, Amazon has the Nothing Ear (a) down to $59, which is $20 off the $79 RRP. That’s a 25% discount relative to the recommended retail price. It’s not quite the lowest price we’ve seen this year, but it was only cheaper during the Prime Day sale, so this is still a strong chance to grab a stylish pair of ANC earbuds for less.
