4 most-watched Netflix shows of 2026 I’d actually recommend

Netflix has had no shortage of big shows this year, but a few have clearly pulled ahead of the rest. From returning favorites to new mysteries that quickly found an audience, some titles have managed to turn strong debuts into millions of views within just a few months.

If you’re looking for something that has already proved popular with viewers, these four Netflix Original shows are a good place to start. Between adventure, romance, and twist-heavy thrillers, there’s a little bit of everything here. Here’s all you need to know.

One Piece

The hunt for the infamous treasure is on

One Piece is arguably one of the best anime live-action adaptations you can find on Netflix (and elsewhere, in my opinion), earning overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans and critics alike. Based on the best-selling manga of all time, this shōnen story follows Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they embark on a voyage to find a mythical treasure (One Piece), while Luffy strives to fulfill his destiny of becoming the Pirate King. One Piece is a closely accurate adaptation of its source material that hooks manga readers, anime watchers, and new viewers alike, with some stellar production and storytelling.

One Piece was one of the most-watched Netflix shows of 2023, capturing over 37 million viewers within two weeks of its release. A second season of the popular show was released in 2026, taking Luffy and the Straw Hats into the Grand Line, where they face strange islands, bigger threats, and a new set of enemies, including the assassins of Baroque Works.

The series continued to pull in a huge audience after its return. One Piece Season 2 ranked No. 7 among Netflix’s most-watched shows in the first half of 2026, with 47.3 million views.

Bridgerton

Love is back in the air

Each season follows a Bridgerton sibling’s journey through love and life, and the noble family returns this year against the backdrop of London’s high society.

The fourth season of the Regency romance show, Bridgerton, follows a Cinderella-esque plot set in this alternative period drama, with Benedict Bridgerton finding love on the dance floor. He begins a tug of war (and love) with the mysterious Lady in Silver, whom he meets at a masquerade ball. As he tries to uncover her secret, their romance blossoms, building a beautiful love story as the Bridgerton universe expands further.

Bridgerton has already been renewed for seasons five and six. Season 5 will shift the spotlight to Francesca Stirling and Michaela Stirling, picking up their love story after the events of Season 4. Netflix has confirmed that the season is currently in production and will arrive in 2027, while the central romance for Season 6 has not yet been announced. Meanwhile, you can stream its spin-off, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, on Netflix.

The period drama remains one of Netflix’s biggest shows of this year. Bridgerton Season 4 ranked No. 2 among Netflix’s most-watched shows in the first half of 2026, bringing in 100.2 million views during that period.

I Will Find You

A second chance appears

I Will Find You starts with a pretty drastic situation: David Burroughs is serving a life sentence for murdering his young son, even though he has always maintained that he is innocent. Years later, his former sister-in-law Rachel visits him in prison with a photograph that appears to show a boy who looks exactly like his son. For David, that one image is enough to bring back a question he had almost no way of answering before: what if his son is still alive?

The possibility sends him down a completely new path of redemption. David becomes determined to find out where the photograph came from and who the boy really is, even if that means escaping prison and putting himself back in the middle of the case that destroyed his life. Rachel becomes one of the few people willing to help him, while the search uncovers details that don’t quite line up with the story everyone believed years ago.

Based on Harlan Coben’s novel, the series stars Sam Worthington as David and Britt Lower as Rachel. It has a strong mystery at the center, but there is also a lot riding on David’s desperation to prove that he did not kill his son. The eight-part series has garnered 63.9 million views so far.

His & Hers

Every story has two sides

This might be my favorite thriller watch of the year so far, and many Netflix viewers, too, seem to agree. Topping Netflix’s most-watched show list of 2026 is His & Hers, which follows the cat-and-mouse chase between two people who share a complicated history.

In this mystery thriller, a murder in a quiet Georgia town pulls two estranged spouses back into each other’s orbit. Tessa Thompson plays Anna Andrews, a television journalist who returns to her hometown to cover the case, while Jon Bernthal plays Jack Harper, the detective leading the investigation. But the problem is that neither of them is entirely convinced the other is innocent.

The six-episode mystery unravels as Anna starts digging into the victim’s past, while Jack works the case from the police side. Their history only makes things messier, especially as both begin holding back information and following leads that bring the murder too close to home.

Based on Alice Feeney’s novel of the same name, the series ends with an unexpected twist that cemented it as one of my favorite thrillers. Topping Netflix’s list, His & Hers has collected 104 million views already.
