Dan Clancy, CEO of Twitch, stated in an interview with Bloomberg that the multiplayer feature of Grand Theft Auto 6 will be launched in 2027. Rockstar has not yet made any official statement regarding GTA 6’s multiplayer mode, the future of GTA Online, or a PC version.
When making this comment, Clancy was speaking about Twitch’s discussions with Rockstar concerning how to engage its creators, and the remark did not appear to be speculative, even though he is probably not someone who is authorized to issue such an announcement.
Rockstar has not stated when it will be.

Clancy told Bloomberg that we had spent a great deal of time discussing Rockstar’s plans and also assisting them in considering how they can get our creators involved; there will be a major increase with GTA 6, but an even larger one the following year when the multiplayer is launched.
PC Gamer points out that it is reasonable to assume that Clancy is not authorized to make an official statement, although his comment does not appear to be speculative. The publication has contacted both Rockstar and Twitch for their comments.
Rockstar has not yet made an official announcement regarding the multiplayer feature in GTA 6, nor has it specified when this will happen, what will become of GTA Online, or when the PC version will arrive.
The comment Clancy made in 2027 comes from a third party and not from Rockstar, so it must be regarded as unofficial until the developer itself confirms it. The game GTA 6 will itself be released in November for the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.
